Apple plans to introduce its first touchscreen MacBook on November 6, according to reports. The device will feature a Tandem OLED display similar to the iPad Pro, offering enhanced color accuracy, contrast and brightness. A smaller version of the Dynamic Island will be included, though Face ID will not be supported. Software updates in macOS 27 include Touch Support in Sidecar, pull-to-refresh functionality and expanded menu bar items. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reported that the interface will adapt to touch interactions by displaying context-sensitive menus around fingers and adjusting controls based on usage patterns. The initial model will use existing M5 Pro and M5 Max chips rather than the anticipated M6 series, with an M7 chip version expected in spring 2025. Design revisions include a slightly thinner chassis and reduced weight achieved through internal component re-engineering. Apple retail stores will begin displaying new signage and products on the evening of November 5, with customer availability starting November 6. The launch coincides with a series of product releases including updated iPhone models and HomePod mini 2. Accessory recommendations from technology writers include Anker Ultra-Slim MagSafe Battery Pack, AirPods Pro 3 with improved noise cancellation, Anker Nano 45W Fast Charger and Logitech MX Master 4 Mouse for Mac.
