Baseus has introduced a new outdoor security camera that uses a motorized spotlight to illuminate and track moving objects. The PrimeSentinel U2 Pro Outdoor 3K Dual Camera activates a focused beam of light when motion is detected, directing illumination toward the source of movement even as it traverses a property. This functionality aims to improve visibility in low-light conditions and increase the likelihood of identifying subjects captured in footage.

The device combines two 3K image sensors: one fixed camera designed for continuous monitoring of a designated zone, and a second unit with pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) capabilities that can rotate 360 degrees to survey broader areas. Both sensors support full-color night vision, enabling differentiation between people, animals, vehicles, and other objects based on visual characteristics.

According to Baseus, the camera employs AI-driven analysis to generate alerts that include descriptive summaries of detected activity. The system is programmed to filter out routine movements such as shifting foliage or scheduled deliveries to reduce notification fatigue. Recorded footage is stored locally on a 512GB encrypted storage card and is only saved when motion triggers the sensor. Users can access live feeds and playback through Baseus' mobile application, as well as connected smart home platforms including Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

Installation is described as tool-free and completed in approximately two minutes using included mounting hardware for wall or ceiling placement. The camera connects wirelessly to a home network and operates on a rechargeable battery rated for up to 150 days of typical use. A detachable 3W solar panel is included to extend operation, with 40 minutes of direct sunlight providing sufficient charge for one full day of use.

The PrimeSentinel U2 Pro is currently available in the United States through Amazon at a price of $269.99. European customers can expect availability beginning October 15 at a price of €269.99.
