Securitize said shareholders of Canton Equity Partners II approved its merger, clearing a final hurdle for a public debut on Thursday. CEPT shares rose up to 20% during Monday trading.
Securitize, a tokenization infrastructure provider founded in 2017 and backed by BlackRock, serves asset managers such as BlackRock, Apollo, KKR and VanEck and counts BlackRock and ARK Invest among its early investors.
The merger is expected to close on Wednesday pending customary conditions, and the combined company will trade under the ticker SECZ. Citi projects tokenized assets could reach $5.5 trillion by 2030, while Standard Chartered estimates the market could grow to $2 trillion by 2028.
The listing offers public investors a rare direct exposure to the tokenization sector, though regulatory developments and market adoption timelines remain uncertain.
