Bambu Lab and Insta360 announced a design contest on MakerWorld offering more than $11,000 in prizes, including Luna Ultra cameras, 3D printers, and gift cards. The Luna Ultra is an 8K dual‑lens gimbal camera for vlogging, and Insta360 is providing official printable mockups of the camera for participants. The contest runs from July 10 to August 9, with winners announced on August 20, 2026. Participants may enter two tracks: a model design track and a social media idea track. For the model design track, entrants upload an original, human‑created 3D printable model that fits the Luna Ultra and tag it with #PrintForLuna on MakerWorld. Each participant may submit up to five entries, and AI‑generated models are not allowed. Three grand prizes are awarded for model designs: Most Original wins an Insta360 Luna Ultra Creator Bundle and a Bambu Lab X2D Combo; Best Functional and Best Aesthetic each win an Insta360 Luna Ultra Standard Bundle and a Bambu Lab A2L Combo. Two grand prizes are awarded for social media ideas: Most Creative Idea and Most Practical Idea each win an Insta360 Luna Ultra Standard Bundle and a Bambu Lab X2D Combo. Submission requirements state that designs must be printable on an FDM printer and must be new, unique creations; entries are judged on relevance, printability, uniqueness, visual appeal, and functionality. Winners will be announced on August 20, 2026.
