Martin Grieco and Rocío Gal, the designers of the Nopia synth, said the instrument is essentially finished and will be released in a few months, with a price around £550. Nopia combines a one‑octave keyboard, a 12‑button tonal selector, and an extensions dial to let users play complex chord voicings with limited hand movement. The device includes a strum plate for plucking individual notes from chords and a pitch‑bend slider, and it integrates virtual analog and sample‑based synthesis engines. Effects such as delay, reverb, tape emulation and beat repeat are built in, and each module can output MIDI independently for use with other instruments. The creators presented the Nopia at the MusicRadar offices in an in‑depth demonstration, and the company indicated that the product will launch within the next few months. The timeline and final pricing have not been officially confirmed.
