Goeteia is a Scheme-based web programming tool that compiles Scheme code to WebAssembly in the browser without a server. The compiler, about 70 KB gzipped, is cached after the initial load and recompiles source in roughly 15 ms per run. The implementation is self‑hosting, written in a subset of Scheme that it compiles, and it verifies byte‑identical output through continuous integration tests. Features include native WebAssembly garbage collection, unboxed fixnums, and GC‑managed refs, pairs and records. The language supports hygienic macros, procedural syntax, nested ellipses and datum‑to‑syntax with compile‑time hygiene. It provides typed function references, cheap variadic procedures, and constant‑stack tail calls, enabling loops of millions of iterations in constant time. Continuation capture uses the Wasm exception proposal with O(1) capture and a single try block. A reactive web stack (web sx) offers fine‑grained signals, an html renderer and a JavaScript FFI, while web three enables reactive Three.js scenes and raw WebGL through a command buffer. Interoperation is performed via s‑expressions for RPC, direct Wasm JSPI, and streaming protocols such as ws, sse and json. The project follows R6RS‑style library files with dependency‑first resolution and prunes unused code. Development commands include cloning the repository, running test scripts and rebuilding the compiler with itself.
