The graphics processing unit market has been constrained by DRAM shortages, which have driven prices for many components, including GPUs, 20‑30 % above historical averages. The RTX 5070 debuted at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $549 and has been selling for $650‑$700 for several months.

The card is normally listed at about $629, making the current $579 price about $50 below the typical market rate. Amazon’s price history shows the GPU reached $659 earlier this year before declining. The RTX 5070, positioned in the mid‑range segment, is marketed for 1440p gaming and has been one of the more popular models among consumers.
