Apple and Klarna will launch an upgrade leasing program in the United States on July 28, according to Bloomberg. The program will let customers finance iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch devices for 24‑month terms on iPhones and Apple Watches and 36‑month terms on iPads and Macs, with the option to upgrade early, pay off early or return the device after the term, and will replace the existing iPhone Upgrade Program.

Apple also raised subscription prices this week, increasing Apple Music to $11.99 per month and iCloud+ fees in eight countries, and raised iPhone prices in Japan by up to 11%. Earlier this month, Apple increased prices for its Mac and iPad lines.

Apple plans to refresh its entire Mac portfolio with roughly 11 new models over the next two years, beginning this fall with a refreshed 14‑inch MacBook Pro and new iMac models. Sales are projected to rise for a third consecutive year, driven in part by demand for AI‑focused workloads.

The fourth developer beta of iOS 27 and the second public beta were released this week. The update adds a manual recovery mode that can be accessed without a computer, shows battery percentage, and includes code references to a device with dual internal batteries, suggesting a future foldable iPhone.

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Fold8 this week, featuring a 7.6‑inch main display and a 5.5‑inch cover display in a wider, passport‑style form factor that resembles the expected Apple foldable device.
