Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls concluded its open beta weekend with a peak concurrent player count of 33,233 on Steam, according to data compiled by AlietteFaye. The count exceeded the 32,787 peak recorded for Street Fighter 6's 2023 beta and was higher than Tekken 8's 15,035 peak later that year. Some technical issues were reported for PC users during the beta. Character usage statistics showed Magick as the most selected character overall and as a Team Leader in Vibranium ranks and above, while Blade ranked second in overall usage and led as an Assist character. Magneto and Spider‑Man followed in overall and Assist popularity, and Danger recorded the lowest usage across all categories. The data reflects trends observed during the weekend. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige previously described challenges in developing a Blade movie, and Xbox executive Asha Sharma noted that Arkane Studios, the developer of the Blade game, is undergoing consultation with its Works Council as part of a broader restructuring. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is scheduled for release on August 6, 2026, with Marvel's Wolverine set for a September 15, 2026 PlayStation 5 launch. Virginia, IGN News Editor, reported the findings.
