Bulkhead and Team17 announced that the 100‑player tactical first‑person shooter Wardogs will enter Steam Early Access on September 10. Pre‑orders are available and provide access to a closed beta weekend running from August 21 to August 23.
Players will be divided into three teams of 100, competing for control points and in‑game currency that can be spent on weapons, gear, and vehicles; balances change with purchases and after deaths.
The Early Access launch will include three maps with three variations each, featuring infantry and vehicle combat and proximity voice chat that spans all teams. The release will not contain in‑game monetisation, but an optional Supporters Edition will offer cosmetic items such as weapon and vehicle camouflages, a scoreboard icon, and bobbleheads.
Pricing is set at £36.99, $39.99, or €39.99 at launch, increasing to $49.99 during the early access period and $59.99 at full release, with the early access phase planned for roughly two years.
The companies noted that the pricing schedule is subject to change as development continues.
