Developer KING Art Games said it is allocating additional time to improve performance, fix bugs and refine gameplay before launch. The studio continues development at full speed and plans additional gameplay showcases and developer deep‑dives before release. In an update, Creative Director Jan Theysen said the extra time will allow further performance optimisation, bug resolution and polish. The studio also released an updated Year One roadmap that includes free updates such as the return of Crusade Mode, new maps, modes, Commanders and a Mission Editor, as well as two major story expansions that will expand the conflict on Kronus and introduce a new playable faction. Dawn of War IV is presented as a large‑scale science‑fiction real‑time strategy game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, featuring four playable factions, non‑linear campaigns, multiplayer battles and returning modes such as Last Stand and Skirmish.
