A settlement website for a U.S.
A settlement website for a U.S. class action lawsuit related to delayed Siri AI features is now live, allowing eligible iPhone owners to file claims through December 21. The lawsuit stemmed from Apple's June 2024 announcement of personalized Siri capabilities tied to Apple Intelligence, which were previewed using context-aware functions across Mail and Messages, including travel and reservation planning. Apple had promoted these features in product presentations, its website, and a Bella Ramsey-starring commercial. In March 2025, the company delayed the rollout of these capabilities, prompting legal action alleging false advertising. Apple denied wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid trial costs. The settlement covers U.S. residents who bought specific iPhone models between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025 for personal use, excluding resale. Eligible devices include iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, 16, 16e, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max. Claimants may receive between $25 and $95 per device, depending on claim volume, with a final payment hearing set for February 24, 2027. The website allows submissions with or without a device serial number, requiring either that or an Apple Account email and phone number. Eligible users will receive email notifications with claim IDs and PINs in the coming days. Payments will not be distributed until after the February hearing. The settlement terms do not constitute an admission of liability, and Apple continues to offer other Apple Intelligence features already available in iOS 27, which remains in beta despite its public release.
