Microsoft has introduced a new Xbox Nano controller that measures just over five inches in length and weighs 3.5 ounces, making it the smallest controller the company has released to date. The device features all 18 standard gameplay buttons and includes a rechargeable battery and a programmable action button for quick access to functions such as screenshot capture. Priced at $50 USD, the controller is marketed toward users with smaller hands, younger players, or those seeking a portable option for on-the-go gaming. Its compact design is intended to fit easily into pockets or bags. The Nano controller is available for pre-order immediately. This release follows Sony's announcement of a limited-edition DualSense controller for Gran Turismo, which was also revealed on the same day. Microsoft has partnered with Samsung to offer a bundle that includes the Nano controller and two months of Game Pass Ultimate for new subscribers when purchasing a new Samsung TV during the holiday season. Additionally, a separate bundle with Meta is in development, pairing the Nano controller with two months of Game Pass and a Meta Quest headset. Microsoft has indicated plans to impose usage caps on cloud streaming access for the controller in the future, requiring additional payment to continue playing beyond certain limits.
