Researchers found that Solana transactions invoking the proprietary market maker HumidiFi showed a 2.97‑fold higher rate of positive wrapped SOL balance changes than other transactions within a narrow group of bots. The study, published as an ASE 2026‑accepted paper, analyzed transactions from 200 addresses linked to two bot services, Trojan and SolanaMevBot, collected between Oct. 1 and Nov. 1, 2025. The authors grouped the addresses into clusters based on transaction volume, success rate, fees and asset diversity, identifying 158 relevant addresses and 42 noise addresses, and also examined 586 public bot repositories separately. The researchers defined a positive outcome as an increase in WSOL token balance after a trade. Of the 152,502 transactions that used HumidiFi, 62.3% recorded a positive WSOL balance change, compared with 21.01% of the 218,678 transactions that did not use the protocol. The ratio of positive outcomes was about 2.97. The 12‑address subgroup that displayed the largest difference routed heavily through Jupiter and invoked HumidiFi and other proprietary automated market makers. The paper noted that the routes may involve specialized liquidity, but it did not identify the reason for the performance gap. The results indicate that differences in routing infrastructure and venue selection can produce markedly different trading conditions for participants on Solana, while the study does not assess whether retail users were directly affected.
