Rockstar Games has indicated that GTA 6 may not feature several prominent Florida attractions, including Disney World and SeaWorld. In a recent Game Informer feature, senior vice president of environment art Paul MacPherson explained that the fictionalized version of Florida, called Leonida, will be curated for narrative and design coherence rather than a literal recreation of every landmark. MacPherson noted that the team evaluates landscapes, structures and natural features to determine which elements best serve the game’s objectives. While he did not confirm or exclude specific sites, he emphasized that the goal is to capture the essence of Florida rather than replicate every tourist destination. The studio has previously incorporated elements such as a roller coaster and ferris wheel in GTA 5’s Venice Beach Boardwalk, but determined that expanding such features into full-scale theme parks would not align with development priorities. GTA 6 will include a zoo with over 170 animal species, some of which are rare or legendary, offering players opportunities for detailed exploration. Rockstar has conducted on-the-ground research in Florida, including visits to entertainment venues, to inform the game’s setting. The inclusion of specific attractions remains under consideration as the project progresses.
