Apple will hold its annual iPhone‑focused event on September 9 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. Media representatives have been invited to attend. The company will announce the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and a foldable iPhone that may be called the iPhone Ultra. All three devices will use the A20 Pro chip built on a 2nm process. The Pro models are expected to feature an upgraded variable aperture rear camera while otherwise remaining similar to the iPhone 17 Pro. Apple indicated that pricing may increase because of ongoing memory shortages. The foldable iPhone will represent Apple’s first new form factor since the 2017 iPhone X. It will have a book‑like design with a 5.5‑inch screen when closed and a 7.6‑inch screen when open, and it will be wider than tall. Because of its thin profile, the device will use Touch ID instead of Face ID and will omit a telephoto camera. Apple will also introduce the Apple Watch Series 12 and the Apple Watch Ultra 4. In addition, the company may reveal new smart‑home products, including a home hub, an updated Apple TV 4K, and a revised HomePod mini. Software updates slated for release include iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate, and other forthcoming versions.
