Eric Hafner, a Democrat serving a federal prison sentence in New York, advanced in the primary for Alaska’s lone U.S. House seat on Wednesday.
Hafner, who is scheduled for release in 2036, also ran for the seat in 2024 and secured a spot on the general election ballot that November.
The Alaska Democratic Party challenged his candidacy, according to court filings.
He will appear on the November ballot unless a court overturns the primary result.
