Double Fine Productions made Brutal Legend free to download and own on PC for 666 minutes, ending at 3:06am PT/6:06am ET on Thursday, August 27, as a tribute to Tim Curry, who died at age 80.

Curry, who voiced Doviculus in the 2009 strategy game Brutal Legend, was also known for his role in the cult film The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Double Fine announced the promotion on the game’s Itch.io page, where it noted the limited‑time availability.

IGN reviewer Daemon Hatfield gave Brutal Legend a 9 out of 10, describing it as a polished mix of humor, music and clever gameplay.

Curry appeared in several other games, including Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers and Dragon Age: Origins.

Double Fine said it will resume its Amnesia Fortnight game jam as part of its new independence.
