Legora disclosed on Wednesday that it had secured $550 million in a Series E financing round, pushing its valuation to $8.8 billion. The company develops software that automates and supports workflow tasks for legal professionals, reflecting a broader shift in the legal sector toward AI-driven services that handle routine work.
The announcement follows a similar funding milestone for Harvey, Legora’s primary competitor, which raised $550 million a month earlier at a $15.5 billion valuation and reported annual recurring revenue exceeding $200 million. Legora’s current round builds on an earlier $50 million extension to its $550 million Series D in April, which had valued the firm at $5.6 billion and reported $100 million in ARR. The company now reports ARR above $200 million.
Investors participating in the new round include Atreides Management, which led the financing, alongside Baron Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, General Catalyst, Menlo, and other firms. Legora said the capital will be directed toward expanding its presence across North America.
The company’s growth underscores accelerating investment in legal technology, as firms seek tools that move beyond simple AI assistants to more comprehensive services that integrate into daily legal practice.
