OpenAI and Google Cloud announced a partnership that will place OpenAI’s frontier models and Codex agentic workflow tools into Google Cloud’s Model Garden. The collaboration grants Google Cloud customers direct access to these models within the platform where they already run AI workloads, enabling enterprises to integrate advanced AI capabilities into their development pipelines.

Google Cloud has long positioned itself as a hub for machine learning and AI, attracting developers and data scientists who rely on its infrastructure for large-scale workloads. By adding OpenAI models to its catalog, the companies aim to let organizations use frontier AI within the same environment they already use for data processing and model training.

For businesses handling regulated data, the integration combines OpenAI’s models with Google Cloud’s access controls, centralized governance and high‑performance infrastructure. This pairing is intended to meet the strict compliance requirements of industries such as finance, healthcare and government.

Customers will be able to acquire OpenAI frontier models through the Google Cloud Marketplace, with enterprises that have existing Google Cloud spend commitments able to allocate those resources toward the new services. In addition, OpenAI models are slated to appear in Google Antigravity and the Gemini Agent, giving users flexibility to select the most appropriate model for each task.

General availability is expected in the coming weeks. Access requests can be submitted via a dedicated form. The partnership does not alter Microsoft’s role as OpenAI’s primary cloud provider.
